Christie House Museum - Long Prairie MNChristie House Museum
The Christie House Museum was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places.
Early 1900 three story home with the original furnishings. This one family owned home was given to the City of Long Prairie in 1976 by Doctor Christie. The home includes the doctor's office with many of the original books, ledgers and equipment. Tours are available Memorial Day-Labor Day. Wednesday-Sunday, 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. More Info

Todd County Museum
Located in Historic Downtown Long Prairie. The museum is located on the site of the former Winnebago Indian Agency in Long Prairie. The museum serves as a research and learning center for those wishing to know more about the county's past. Also visit the unique gift shop. The museum is open year round on Wed., Thur., and Fri. from 11:30-4:00 and Saturday by appointment. Call 320-732-4426.

Veterans Memorial Park
Dedication to the original first flag raising on Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima. This park includes a five story wall dedicating the original flag raising, a seventy foot wall of all American Military Cemetery in Europe, two black granite walls in dedication to the past and present military men and women. Korean War Memorial and flags in honor of all branches of service. Veterans Memorial Brochure's are available free of charge; you may also order a video of the dedication by contacting us.

Lake Charlotte Beach and ParkLake Charlotte Beach and Park
Located just outside the city limits. Includes a swimming beach with lifeguards, fishing pier and boat launch, softball field, playground, 3 picnic pavilions, flush toilets and changing rooms. To reserve one of the picnic shelters for your event, contact City Hall at 320-732-2167 (small Fee).

Long Drive-In
One of the few remaining Drive-Ins in the state. Current movies every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. May-September. Enjoy a break from the fast lane and enter into the past lane. Call 320-732-3142 for current movies playing.

Prairie Players Community Theater Group
This group presents performances throughout the year at the Long Prairie/Grey Eagle High School Auditorium. For ticket information or questions call 320-732-3157.

Blue Sky Project
Public art representing history, culture, lifesyles, migrations, hope, fears and prayers of our community. Harmony Park, 4th Ave. S. www.blueskyproject.com.

The Long Prairie Chamber Orchestra has been making beautiful music since it was formed in 1974. The 30-member orchestra draws musicians from a wide area and performs seasonal concerts as well as at special events. Further information is available at www.thelpco.org.

Long Prairie River
Flows from Lake Carlos to the Crow Wing River. One of the few rivers to flow North. The entire river is canoeable with many ecosystems. Fishing is also available.

Marshal George Williams Memorial
The monument honors George H. Williams. He was the Village Marshal of Long Prairie. He gave his life in the line of duty. This memorial is also a tribute to the 208 law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty in Minnesota. The memorial is located at the corner of Highway 27 and Highway 71.

Long Prairie Country Club
Nestled amongst tumbling hills and ancient oaks, the Long Prairie Country Club boasts a magnificent 18 holes of golf. Widely regarded as a hidden gem, the course features a traditional layout with every hole offering a challenge for players of all skill levels.
