Tour Itineraries

    We will work with your group of 15 or more to customize a tour that will fit your time allotment and the interests of your group.        

     Tours are available year round, however, we are limited to what we have to offer during the winter months. For more    

     information, please contact a Tour Coordinator at info@longprairie.org.
 

TOUR 1
 


  • Christie House Tour - View a home from the 1900's that is fully furnished with period furniture, stained glass windows, and plenty of old fashioned charm. Fee
  • Veteran's Memorial Wall - This is a self-guided tour of the Memorial site located across the street from the Christie House. It commemorates the armed forces and the original raising of the flag on Iwo Jima. This tour includes a narrative on the creation of the wall.
  • Lunch Stop - Arrangements will be made in advance.
  • Shopping - Shop at our gift and antique shops. Look for that special gift for a loved one.
  • Amish Farm Tour - Guided tour of an Amish farm as well as products to purchase. You will also see farming displays.

    This tour is approximately 4.5 to 5 hours in duration.

  • Guided City Tour - A tour by motor coach of historical homes, landmarks, current industry, and lovely parks.
  • Amish Farm Tour - Guided tour of an Amish farm as well as products to purchase. You will see Amish farming up close.
  • Mikey's Downtown Restaurant - Dine in one of our historic downtown buildings. Reasonably priced.
  • Veteran's Memorial Wall - This is a self guided tour of the Memorial site located across the street from the Christie House. It commemorates the armed forces and the original raising of the flag on Iwo Jima. This tour includes a narrative on the creation of the wall.

  • Coffee Stop - Enjoy a nice warm cup of coffee and a roll at the Christie House while hearing a narrative about the Christie Family.
  • Christie House Tour - View a home from the 1900's that is fully furnished with period furniture, stained glass windows, and plenty of old fashioned charm. Fee
  • Veteran's Memorial Wall - This is a self guided tour of the Memorial site located across the street from the Christie House. It commemorates the armed forces and the original raising of the flag on Iwo Jima. This tour includes a narrative on the creation of the wall.
  • Lunch - Gene-O's restaurant has the best chicken in town. Reasonably priced.
  • River Glen Gardens - A guided tour through the beautiful gardens in Little Sauk. The tours are given on the first 2 weeks of June, July, and August. Fee.

    This tour is approximately 5 hours in duration.

  • Todd County Museum - The museum contains vignettes of city & farm living. Newly remodeled. Fee.
  • Lunch - Prearranged
  • Shopping - Shop our gift and antique shops. Look for that special gift for a loved one.
  • Mills Lake Metal Finishing - This is a guided tour of their workshop and home where many unique items are on display. Fee

    This tour is approximately 5.5 to 6.5 hours in duration.
